Christine joined VEIC in 2008 as a Managing Consultant and Senior Member of VEIC’s Consulting Division.  Previously, Christine was Founder and President of C.T.  Donovan Associates, Inc., a renewable energy consulting firm she founded in 1986 with clients nationwide.  Christine is widely acknowledged for her research, analytic, technical, and public policy expertise in solar, biomass, wind, and other renewable energy resources.  She has served a wide range of clients including:  the U.S. Department of Energy, National Renewable Energy Laboratory, U.S.D.A. Forest Service, Coalition of Northeastern Governors, New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, New York Power Authority, New England Electric System, Niagara Mohawk Power Company, ABN Amro International Bank, Bank of Tokyo, and 10 private biomass energy power plant developers.  Christine previously served as the Executive Director of the New York Solar Energy Industries Association, the largest statewide solar energy industries association in the nation, and managed the launch of the New York State School Power Naturally Program which resulted in 50 solar on schools project throughout the state.

Christine has managed more than 100 environmental and renewable energy consulting contracts involving diverse and multi-disciplinary teams.  Ms. Donovan is a Founding Board Member of the Renewable Energy Policy Project based in Washington, DC, and has served on national renewable energy task forces appointed by former President Clinton, the Electric Power Research Institute, and national environmental organizations.  She is Past Chair of the American Solar Energy Society, Northeast Sustainable Energy Association, and Maine Solar Energy Association, Christine has received numerous awards for her leadership and initiative in the renewable energy industry.  She was the first woman selected nationally as a distinguished Fellow of the American Solar Energy Society, and was the first recipient of the New York Solar Energy Industries Association’s Industry Professional of the Year Award in 2008.
